NO isofix points in new audi A6?

my parents have a new audi A& and I went and bought a child car seat for them as they will be taking care of my little son. To my surprise I now notice there are NO ISOFIX points in this car. Is this normal? DO you have to order this extra as an option? I even have isofix points in my Honda CRV from 2003.

Is it possible to ask a garage to put in isofix afterwards or is has to be done in the factory? is this expensive?

thank you so much for your help!!!

Yes some manufacturers charge extra for that option. Most have them included. any japenese one would have it. My lexus had it, infinity qx4 had it. But my bmw 7series does not. I was surprised too at first but i guess its not a big thing in europe. As far as can you have them installed....yes....not sure how expensive it would be because they would have to weld it and secure it. I would ask audi for the cost and then ask other mechanics so that you dont get jipped. Good Luck.
