Anyone remember the plastic pencils....?

I used to love the plastic pencils that when the lead was low, you'd pull out the plastic encased lead and push it back in the top to reveal a new one. They had a lid (cap) that had an eraser on it. Now, my daughter loves them and I really want to find some? Anyone know what they are called and where I can purchase them?

Update:

Thanks cunning! I have already looked at my local stores, Wal-Mart, Walgreens, Target, etc. I may use the link you found, but your answer definitely opened the doors now that I know what they are called!

They're called "Push-a-point Pencils" or "Push Point Pencils." I see them at Wal-mart still and occasionally the dollar store.

Good luck finding such pencils. I used to enjoy them also. Should you be unable to find them, the following might be an acceptable alternative:

It's a lead holder. You put a long piece of lead in it. As it is used you sharpen it as needed. When the lead is too short to hold, then you get another piece of lead. It's similar to a mechanical pencil. It's used for precision drawing and writing because of the fine point than can be placed on the lead. You can use the same holder for an inked implement.
