Can your level in Yahoo Answers go down?

asking questions make you loose points (5 for every question)

but thats why you answer questions as well....

you get 3 points by answering a question

you get 1 point for voting for a question

you don't get any for putting thumbs up or down

For a violation ( an answer to a question that was a violation)

You will lose 12 points.

10 points for the violation

2 points for deleting an answer (they delete the answer themselves)

oh and if your violation is bad enough, they'll ban your yahoo answers account, and possibly your email...and i don't mean temproarily. its permanent and they delete your everything yahoo. (messanger,email,yahoo answers account, yahoo 360)

Y!A levels are all about the number of points you have. if your point total drops below the level's minimum (from violations or asking questions), your level drops. once you hit the next level's minimum, you'll get another "congrats" email frmom Y!A.

The only points involved in thumbs is when a Best Answer has TUs - the answerer gets 1 point for each TU (up to 50 points per question).

Hints:

answer your limit of questions each day (2 points each)

get an answer selected as best answer (10 points each)

pick a best answer for your question (3 points)

vote your limit of unresolved questions each day (1 point each)

you also get a point a day for signing in

each question costs 5 points, so ask sparingly

Yep, you optimistic can ... the tiers are desperate completely by applying factors. If for occasion, a client has reached 250 factors, he has attained point 2 ... yet whilst he ASKS a question earlier he features any further factors, he will slip decrease back to 245 factors and point a million!

Yes. If you lose enough points your level will go down.

you could ask a lot of questions everyday, and then it will go down!
