Our front door has a Yale bolt lock model 197 installed that is giving us some trouble. Formerly, the key would turn only the inner cylinder when locking/unlocking from outside. Recently, the outer cylinder of the lock sometimes turns, which makes using the key very difficult. When the outer cylinder gets out of alignment, the key will either not go in the lock, not turn the inner cylinder or not come out of the lock.

Can this be fixed easily, or will the lock need replacement?

I don't know how to disassemble the lock, but I could probably follow some instructions.

Does anyone else dislike the current point system in YA? My pet peeve is that ppl get 2 points for answering with "IDK" or something equally stupid. Another is that we get NO POINTS for voting, if we choose "No Best Answer".

I propose the following changes to the point system.

Answer = 1 point

Thumb up rating = 1 point for person who answered (not for rater)

Interesting question = 1 point for person who asked question

Vote of No Best Answer = 1

Vote of Best Answer = 2

Best Answer Chosen by Voters 5 (even if asker chooses best answer)

Best Answer Chosen by Asker 10

Current point awards in YA!:

The great-billed parrots (Tanygnathus Megalorynchos) sold at my local pet store are big but seemingly quite tame. They cost a lot, though. Would they make good pets when kept indoors without mates? I could provide a cage about 3' x 3' and 5' high. Would this be suitable for the bird? To conserve the furniture, I could only let it out of the cage for a few closely supervised hours each day.
