How did Yahoo Answers beat the spammers? A few years ago, they were over-running the site.?

A few of the idiots have just given up, but plenty are still here.

I think the ability to move categories has helped. When these pathetic morons don't get the visibility they want, they give up and do something else.

They live to annoy, and if people don't see it, it frustrates them

If you mean on the old green format, we were all reporting them and finally they just blocked them all.

Why they don't do that now is because they are run by the folks from India but once they switch over to Verioan I think they will do something about them.

You also have to take it in consideration that that is how this site make money to keep it open for us to use.

So for now all we can do is report them.

They are still a big problem - like the fake Yahoo phone numbers posted as "help"

maybe the hooker/trafficking spammers stopped paying bribes - that has been taken over by cam spammers

yahoo also advertises plenty of dodgy dating sites and mail order brides

it also web hosts porn sites in yahoo groups - lot of heavy ad weight there and possible underage images

the men's health section in mexico is full of pedophiles that also address mine

someone is making money - not to mention the 1800 spammers
