Vg = speed of gracie
Vm = speed of mia
Dg = Distance for Gracie = 344km
Dm = Distance for Mia = 288km
Vg = 14 + Vm
Dg = Vg(t)
Dm = Vm(t)
since t is the same
Dg/Vg = Dm/Vm
and Vg = 14 + Vm
soo....
Dg/(14 + Vm ) = Dm/Vm
put all the numbers:
344/(14+Vm) = 288/Vm
So Vm is 72.
Wait.... its asking Gracie's speed so, Vg = 72 + 14 = 86
86km/hr!!!
