Just wondering what fellow mothers think.. Thanks..?

I had my Son July 1st 2008. So its been 3 months. I do take the pill for birth control. Here i am 3 days late for my period. I know i should take a test. But my question is can the pill ortho tri cyclen cause you to miss your period? Because i do not feel pregnant. We used the pill and condoms. So do you think it could be that i had a baby 3 months ago and the pill making my period late? Or is it worth taking a test? What do you think? Like i said i have no symptoms of pms or pregnancy!

Update:

Yes i have had two regular periods sense. Soo i dk.. And i did not ask if you thought i was pregnant. Thanks!

After you have a baby, your hormones are all messed up. If your estrogen level is off you can miss a period. It happens all the time! It also happens when young girls first get their period...they might skip a few until their hormones level off. I'm sure you are not pregnant! Also, if you are breast feeding, you will not have a period!

I used to use Ortho Tri Cyclen, and while I was on it, it totally messed my period up. I was late by like a week and a half a few times, and I even had two periods in one month. Also, I believe you are right that because you just had your baby, your body is getting used to having that medication in its system. I would wait another month to see what happens. Good luck!

I've herd of that BC pill making ppl late and just missing periods for a few months. It might be because you just had your son too. I think that your odds are very slim though.

Have you had a period since you gave birth? Often periods are whacky after that anyway, regardless of whether or not you are on the pill.

I doubt you're pregnant... just a late or missed period.
