Yes, our government needs to be reworked. President washington warned not to create political parties. Now we see why, it's one party against the other, I don't know about anyone else, but i have views that are considered conservative, and others that are liberal. and i consider myself american, not republican or democrat.

We are in a recession big time. The economy is in the toilet. The government is not working. I think the USA needs to rework the government completely somehow. Many think we should not bail out the banks because if it was us they would not help us or bail us out. In some ways I can understand why my uncle never used a bank. When he died they found stashes of money in waterproof pouches wrapped around the pipes under the house. He said he never trusted banks after the depression. He told me stories of how people lived on the streets, and had to send their children away to live and work on farms because they could not feed them. He said it was awful. I am 54 and hope we never have to face what he faced. But medicare use to be free. My husband has to spend $200 out of pocket each month for Part B, F, Rx. Gas is triple what it should be because the oil people want to make billions of dollars a day. I can not afford health insurance on myself. I cant afford life insurance. If something happens to my husband, I dont know what I would do or how I could afford to even bury him. I am not alone. That is why we need some one in the white house for us poor people.

Listen to all the political "experts" on both sides who pretend to be unbiased....you'll get an idea of how political all this has become rather than based in good solid economics. Is is disgusting, and is rampant in both political parties.
I'm voting for McCain, both BOTH parties are in this up to their eyeballs.
