Yes. In this situation have the battery charged. Jump starting a vehicle is ok in an emergency situation, but it will over-stress the alternator in most newer cars. As an example, an alternator with a 100 amp rating, in normal operation this amp rating should never exceed 80% capacity for more than 5 minutes or the unit will overheat and fail. A car with this alternator will have a load of about 70 amps with everything running, but if you add the load demand of a dead battery it could exceed over 100 amps. Don't risk letting your alternator to recharge a dead battery. Get it properly charged with a battery charger.

NO, the thing is the battery is the sole victim, once the vehicle starts the charging system will fully recharge the battery.
If the light has pulled enuff energy that the engine will not start, simply boost the car. Once the engine starts, all will be OKAY!

As long as the car starts, no problem. If it dosn't start just need to jump start with jumper cables. It should run for an hour or two to charge the battery.

It can uncharge your battery but I dont know if it will gradually recharge or not, you might need to buy a new one.

If it starts, don't worry.
All that would happen is the battery could die.
