Do you think higher taxes are a solution to our country's economic trouble?

Update:

i don't claim to be an economic expert. but i know that some who answered either are more in the dark about it than i am, or they are ignorant of political history.

for one thing, those who blame the republicans for the war in iraq, and think that a dem president would bring our soldiers home, should know that obama not only voted YES to fund the war in iraq, and also wants to start a war in afghanistan, and also go into pakistan after terrorists.

further, a DEMOCRAT has led us into every war since WW I before the war in iraq.

lastly, obama wants to give the illegals "free" healthcare and "free" college tuition. and WE will have to pay for that, and all his other taxes.

why do you think more hollywood types and other rich folk support obama? it's the middle class who mostly support mccain. over half of obama's donations came from rich people.

    No.

I taught college level economics, am a certified fraud examiner, was a Controller, head of internal audit.

I am an expert at numbers...and ascertaining truth.

Do you think higher taxes are a solution to our country's economic trouble? No.

Currently due to credit being tight..car dealers cannot buy cars to sell, people cannot get credit to purchase a car, so car dealers are laying off people...

When people pay higher taxes...frankly we do stupid things with the money. In fact.. Obama wants to give 845 billion around the world to end poverty. GLOBAL POVERTY ACT ...That will NOT stimulate anything.

Now when we lower taxes, we actually collect more in revenue. People save..and their savings..in the bank allows the banks to loan money..and car dealers buy cars and people buy cars...etc.

I can show you economic formulas.

Democrats and Republicans are the same. The proper government, run via bureaucratic servants called Democrats and Republicans, be responsive to that there is a 11% approval cost of the government via the U. S. electorate. it incredibly is unacceptable to the Dems and Reps. they choose away to teach there power. So becoming an apprehension ecosystem, gets the electorate interest. this additionally will enable them to portray the phantasm they're doing some thing for the electorate that can't be stored removed from the government. I't is a compelled acceptance of power in all its tyranny. between the regulations of conflict whilst dealing with a greater perfect enemy is to divide and triumph over, particularly then to attack your enemies stress as an entire. understanding that electorate and there constitutional freedoms/rights are a thee governments maximum excellent enemy, becoming a diversionary tactic inclusive of Republican and Democrat could divide the governments enemies "electorate + constitutional freedoms/rights" as quickly as divided, the enemy is a ways greater straightforward to triumph over. hence, as quickly as we are divided, the proper government can eliminate freedoms/rights, and enforce tyrannous rules plenty greater straightforward than if we've been united. Vote for absolutely everyone else besides Democrats or Republicans. I't could be absolutely everyone beginning from a third party candidate to Mickey Mouse. do in simple terms no longer vote for Democrats or Republicans. They have been offered and paid for a protracted time in the past via bureaucrats. whilst Dems or Reps are elected, they serve the hobbies of the transnational companies that paid for them to get elected, no longer the electorate. I't is the suited appearing out of a "sturdy cop undesirable cop" situation in history. in simple terms undergo in thoughts. The Tea party is the Republican party. "I'f your a multi-billion dollar transnational enterprise and you pay for under, a million President + 435 Congressmen + one hundred Senators + 9 suited courtroom Justices, then you definately've complete and complete power over 350,000,000+ electorate and all there components." WTF!!!

  • A life time of Marxist sympathy, that is the history of B. Hussein Obama. Liberation Theology is Marxist dialectics packaged as a religion and Black Liberation Theology is racist Marxism. Frank Davis, another Obama mentor and family friend, was publicly identified as a member of the Communist Party USA (CPUSA). Obama's entire political platform is based on a variation of tired and worn out Socialist/Marxist rhetoric.

It depends on who you ask. Apparently some think we will be better off (McCain, Bush and Obama) if the bailout is passed. That's definitely going to raise our taxes. Personally I don't mind paying higher taxes if they were used for education or health care. I don't want to give my taxes to the banking industry.

I don't think so, yet thats what Bill Clinton did to change the economy. He made one of the biggest tax hikes in history when he first took office and we ended up with a surplus.

Well, if we raise taxes on the rich, we can give a tax cut to the poor, do health care and education, and start to pay off the debt. Its' a bit conservative, but the only thing that can work.

To argue for a permant tax cut like McCain does is pure insanity with a 10 trillion debt and 500 billion deficit.

Did you not watch the last Presidential Debate? Obama would give tax breaks to those who make less than $250,000 per year.

    I just watched your link:

Where have you been these last few weeks? Are you telling us you believe anything Sarah Palin says?

Ask John F. Kennedy, he was a tax cutter.

Does paying of your debt help your financial situation? Or are you one of those that borrowed too much and got us into this mess?

No. But if you honestly think taxing the richest portion of the population somewhat more is actually going to hurt the economy - I suggest taking a class or 9.
