What could be preventing the type tool from working in Adobe Photoshop CS3?
I'm making a couple of avatars and it seems the type tool is not working. I'm clicking on the image and instead of the usual, blinking cursor, I get a small cube. I type and nothing happens. It's a .psd file, but when try to save it as a .gif and type on it, a layer of red appears. Please help.
Thank you.
Not even adding a new layer on top of my image is helping.
AHA! You're correct SPL, but the font is unusually small. Why? I'm using Arial and actually have to enlarge it to 1000 pt for it to appear the size of normal text.

I don't use Photoshop but my first guess is that the font is small, like size 1 or 2 and you're just not seeing the text. Otherwise... you're probably going to have to do a repair install of Photoshop and it should fix the problem.

Go to layer, arrange, order, bring front.
or short cut it as ctrl shift ]
or if you want your background put at back
ctrl shift [
you dont need to add layer.
