  • Can green tea on an empty stomach cause vomitting?

I was unable to sleep past 5:15 this morning, so I got out of bed an hour later. I'm trying an exercise regime recommended by Prevention called Walk for Weight Loss. The only thing diet-related that it suggests is drinking three cups of green tea a day, in addition to healthy eating habits obviously. I thought this would be the morning I give that a whirl since I'm up so early. I made a hot cup and mixed in two Splenda packets (I know, I know - I'm trying to stop). It's been a while since I last drank green tea and I do not at all drink coffee. Maybe 15 minutes had passed since I'd finished, and suddenly I feel my stomach and throat tightening. I puked (sorry for the lack of a better term). I thought I'd read somewhere that it was good to drink tea early and exercise (I haven't done the latter yet) before breakfast because it rouses your metabolism. Is it the caffeine in general I have to acclimate to, which I didn't think green tea had that much of, or is it just the empty stomach part that made me heave, do you think?

  • Is it safe to open the files that "help describe the problem" when Windows recovers from unexpected shutdown?

I've just gotten a new laptop (Toshiba) last Monday after my hard drive failed on my Dell for the second time - which I plan to replace at a later time. Anyhow, I was transferring a couple videos from my external hard drive to my laptop hard drive when I got a blue screen. I've already scanned my entire E-HD for viruses/spyware with Norton. Coincidentally, I was moving a couple workout videos, which happened to be open for a couple hours when my last laptop failed. Of course that frightened me considering what happened to my Dell. Are these files simply stating what went wrong, or are they the corrupt data?

  • How can I spice up a baked potato?

I've discovered that I really like baked potatoes. Well, microwaved since I don't have a conventional oven, but anyway. I've added either pepper, half a slice of American cheese and/or butter. I want to keep from directly adding salt and I could use holding the butter. I'm not fond of sour cream and trying to keep away from red meat (no bacon bit recommendations). What to do?

  • Why can't I drag album artwork into iTunes anymore?

I had to start completely over with my iTunes because I had a virus that destroyed my old hard drive. Anyhow, the LONELY 12 albums I have in my iTunes are all purchased CDs I imported. Am I not able to drag pictures into iTunes at all anymore or is it just because they're imported albums? How can I resolve this? When I've tried to, I get a mini black 'prohibited' sign (circle with a slash through it). If I wanted to download artwork from iTunes, is is free and where do I find this feature? Lots of questions, but I'd appreciate it. Thanks.

  • What's the name of this Firefox addon?

I recently had to purchase a new hard drive because my last one was irreparable (after getting a blue screen and all that nonsense). Reinstalled Firefox and realized I'm missing my favorite addon. It was music related. Appears in the lower right portion of the browser and you can basically control any music program (iTunes, WMP, even websites like LastFM) from your browser as opposed to having to maximizing it. What I mean by control is being able to pause, press play, skip to the next song, etc. It also displays the song title and artist's name. I've already gone to Firefox's official website. Couldn't locate what I'm looking for. Anyone?

  • What dietary changes should I make to see improvement in my skin?

I loves the junk food. FORTUNATELY <insert sarcasm here> I'm also disgusted with my weight and am looking for a change. Some people advise that you eat certain things and stay away from others to lessen the severity of acne. I figure why not try to kill two birds with one stone by making changes to what I eat. Have you any advice? I'd appreciate it.

  • Can you recommend healthy snacks that do not require refrigeration?

My roommate's gone. Now under normal circumstances, it's dandy but considering she took her refrigerator and microwave along with, I can't bring anything to my room that I cannot eat in one setting or put away in a cupboard. I'm on a meal plan that allots two meals per day. That's certainly not enough nutrition, so I obviously need food nearby.

    Thus far, I've got:

    - Tortilla chips (baked)

    - Almonds

    - Oranges

    - Apples

    - Granola bars

    - Oatmeal (there's a microwave in the main lobby)

Really trying to avoid picking up junk food. Any suggestions?

  • What products and method work best to remove acne dark spots?

I've been using Proactiv for the last two months. As an acne deterrent, I'd give it about a 5. I'm sure I'll begin using something else just as soon as I can find a better alternative. However, I have a much larger burden. Acne dark spots. In no way has it assisted in gradually clearing these up. I'm using sunscreen and all it seems to do is clog my pores (btw, is there a such thing as a non-comedogenic sunblock?) and I guess not make the spots darker, but what I need also is something to help weaken their appearance until they are completely gone. I'm aware that since I am African American this could take a couple of weeks or months. I've invested in something that is not working, so I'd prefer a new skincare regimen. Any clue? Thanks.

  • How in the world do you prepare tea without bags?

Obviously the wu-yi/oolong/wu-long teas are too good to be true. As far as 'slimming' goes, I wouldn't be willing to try it, but so many people claim it's the most decadent tea they've ever tasted. I'm a person who likes to indulge in tea and I'd love to try it, but . . . How do you prepare it if it has no bags? I've looked up bodums on Amazon, but they all have their fair share of faultiness. Is there another way or a great and upstanding brand that manufactures bodums? Otherwise, I'm clueless. Thanks.

  • Typically, where's the best place to purchase pepper spray?

To reinforce exercise, I am hopefully soon going to be buying a bike. I've been working out in my dorm but the space is a little confined, so I feel like I can't reach to the best of my abilities. Instead, I'm going to try and do aerobics Monday and Tuesday at the Student Rec Center (which I've never done), my workout DVD on Tuesday and Thursday and ride my bike on Fridays and possibly the weekend.

The Rec Center isn't too far from my room, but it is a distance. I try to wait until I'm done with classes and free to do whatever. This is usually around 6. It's starting to get darker, so I figure I need some protection in the night. I'm sure stun guns may be illegal in the state of Pennsylvania and I don't have the training for that anyway. I'm in a small town and the biggest and nearest store is Wal-Mart. Where should I be looking for mace? Thanks.

  • Do we know what happened to Dr. Penrose on FOX's Fringe?

The episode where that lady had the "grandfather baby", lol. Dr. Penrose, Walter's old colleague, was responsible for that serial killer who was removing those exotic dancers' pituitary glands. The serial killer eventually aged and died, but Dr. Penrose escaped. Where to?

  • How does Verizon's V-Cast with Rhapsody work?

I have received my phone (FINALLY!) and I've installed all the necessary software. I've figured out how to use it as well, but what I want to know is what exactly is the $14.99 paying for. Yes, I've looked it up on the website but I still find it to be unclear, or maybe the excitement of having a new phone is overriding logic. Whatever the case may be, is the unlimited access to the Rhapsody library free (or is it truly ninety-nine cents per song) or is the monthly fee paying for my ability to transfer songs from my computer to my phone, OR is it both? I just find it terribly confusing. Excuse my wordiness and denseness. Thanks.

  • Are touch screen phones stylus' universal?

I'm soon going to receive my Verizon Glyde in the mail. Unfortunately, I've read some pretty discouraging reviews on Amazon about the touch screen (and the phone in general). I'm thinking maybe I can circumvent the problems, MAYBE the destruction lies in pressing it too hard, so I want to buy a stylus. Will the LCD screen respond to absolutely any stylus, including those meant for hand held game consoles like the Nintendo DS? If features or a brand in particular could be recommended, that would be appreciated.

    Thank you.

  • What could be preventing the type tool from working in Adobe Photoshop CS3?

I'm making a couple of avatars and it seems the type tool is not working. I'm clicking on the image and instead of the usual, blinking cursor, I get a small cube. I type and nothing happens. It's a .psd file, but when try to save it as a .gif and type on it, a layer of red appears. Please help.

    Thank you.

  • Is the pin back business a prosperous one?

I'm soon about to purchase a tote online and I thought it'd be cutesy to also buy a couple of pin back buttons for it. Slowly, I've come to adore the little beauties and was curious how they were made. I found the equipment necessary and it was quite expensive. At least $125 for the graphic punch and $175 for the button press. I'd love to make my own 1" buttons and sale them, but is it really worth, at minimum, 300 dollars. I basically want to know if I will see profits ASAP (i.e. are they collectibles, do people typically purchase a lot of them, etc . . ) or is this a waste?

    Thank you.

  • What's the difference between a wireless router and wireless antenna?

My dormitory is on the highest peak of my university's campus. That means it's farthest from the receiver. I need to improve the signal strength I get, which is very low. 'One bar' as a matter of fact. The building does have an elevator in it, which I hear can diminish a signal (however, I'm in the exact same building on the same floor as last semester and further away from the elevator and it has actually worsened.) What do you recommend I buy to improve my signal?

    Thank you.

  • Are Polaroid cameras no longer being manufactured?

And by Polaroid cameras, I mean the 600 or One Step. I know for sure if I purchase one from eBay, I'm going to want more than one (all the different styles make me indecisive). I've desired one for quite some time and only recently realized eBay could deliver a quick fix. However, I thought I heard last year that they were no longer being made. If I do purchase one online, I'd have to hurriedly buy film as well because I imagine it'd expire soon and I'd be stuck with nowhere to buy more when that date arrives.

  • What are the effects of eating unwashed fruit?

I do this habitually, but it's not usually my intention. Grapes. Probably one of the top ten dirtiest fruits, but sometimes it's such a hassle cleaning them. Like, I know you shouldn't wash them until right before you're going to eat them or they'll turn brown faster. Currently, I'm in my dorm and if I want to wash them, I have to go to the bathroom. I often find myself pondering "Do you really want to take these into a shared facility of 40+ girls?" I opt not to most of time and I'm sure it's harmful. I may be consuming pesticides and the germs of the pick-and-eat people at the grocery store. I know that's an effect, but I want to know beyond that. I want to know what this could do to me internally. It's a habit I really need to give up.

  • Where online can I purchase knit/crochet berets for cheap?

I own a scarf that I've been desperately trying to manipulate into the same style as these berets, but it always fails. There are several fantastic ones over at the Urban Outfitters website, but . . $24+ a pop is a bit much. I have to purchase them online because my university is in a very small town, far away from civilization, lol.

    Here's an example:
