What are the effects of eating unwashed fruit?

I do this habitually, but it's not usually my intention. Grapes. Probably one of the top ten dirtiest fruits, but sometimes it's such a hassle cleaning them. Like, I know you shouldn't wash them until right before you're going to eat them or they'll turn brown faster. Currently, I'm in my dorm and if I want to wash them, I have to go to the bathroom. I often find myself pondering "Do you really want to take these into a shared facility of 40+ girls?" I opt not to most of time and I'm sure it's harmful. I may be consuming pesticides and the germs of the pick-and-eat people at the grocery store. I know that's an effect, but I want to know beyond that. I want to know what this could do to me internally. It's a habit I really need to give up.

You could be swallowing a lot more than juice - for example, soil that contains bacteria, bird feces, insect residues, and good old dirt.

You can seriously run the rest of getting hepatitis A as well. In fact, unwashed veggies and fruits are the number one way of receiving it. That whole wash only right before eating is a crock, seriously, that makes zero sense.

well the reason to wash veggies is this

if you have ever seen the fields where the veggies are grown the pickers when standing there all day and need to pee they just pee ,

i know this sounds bad but it is the truth they pee and yes the pee goes around the veggies if not on them so if that not a good enough reason then their is not one

and yes this is a fact not just my opinion

my friends are in the produce business

Eating unwashed fruits and vegetables can expose you to waxes and pesticides, possibly even salmonella and e-coli. These diseases can lead to diarrhea, organ failure, coma and death.
