When I play games on my 360 on my HDTV...the edges of the screen are cut off.?

How can i adjust the settings to be able to see the entire game screen? I do have the HD cable for the 360 and it is set to HD. I've checked the settings on the XBOX itself and it won't let me adjust the screen size. It says something about needing an HD AV cable, which is what I thought I had. Any help here would be appreciated. Thanks.

Update:

I tried changing the screen to wide screen and it still chops off the edges of the game. So that doesn't take care of my issue.

You need to adjust your TV's settings to something like a dot by dot or pixel by pixel setting. Pretty much, find a setting for your TV where it doesn't enlarge or zoom into the picture in any way.

Most of the time you can do this with your television's remote control.

change the screen settings on your television. Make it wide screen, full screen, etc... There should be a picture settings button on the remote to do this.
