Whats a good way to spec an Orc Warlock in WOW?

Ok here is the deal.... I'm a newb and I'm doing the refer a friend deal, getting triple exp. My friend and I have made it to level 60 in just two weeks.. I have my character spec'd in the destruction tree, but now I have extra points to put elsewhere... should I spend the rest of my points in demonology or should i just re-spec when i hit 70?

Well since you've gone that far I guess you might as well respec when you hit 70. The best lock leveling spec is Demonology as it gives you plenty of stat boosts and the new demon to tank for you. You should probably respec anyways as Destruction is a field better left for when your get gear in raids and such. Destruction spec is a very gear picky spec

In my opinion respec to demonology, get to 70, change to affliction spec, do some raiding, then go destruction.

This will take time. If you want to check out a good affliction spec especially for PVE just find my talent tree on WoWHead.com

Best is highly subjective. But since you've asked a subjective question, I'll give you my subjective opinion.

If you like destruction, which a lot of folks do, then stay with what you like. It's great to have some extra points put into demonology, because with 5 points you can get a major boost to your stamina, and destro locks often lack survivability. Getting Fel Stamina and Improved Life Tap goes a long way to helping out your mana pool with costly destro spells.

If you're looking for something solid to level to 70 or 80 with, then, shockingly, I support Affliction.

    Why?

Because you have very little downtime, and end nearly every fight with full health and mana. This means you level faster, and can take on more mobs (if you're good with juggling). Also, while pets are a lot of fun, their damage really doesn't scale well with level. The Felguard is amazing at level 50, really great at 60, decent at 65, and situational at best at 70. I sincerely hope that pet scaling changes in the expansion.

If you're looking for a 70 raiding and/or instance spec, then keep utility in mind. Being a demonic sac/destro warlock might get you pretty numbers, but you're sacrificing all the utility that your party deserves for some extra damage.

Also, please resist the urge to use Soul Link/Siphon life spec an "uber raiding spec." It works great in PvP. Not so hot in PvE.

So decide what your plans are for 70 (gearing up for wrath, 5-mans, 10-mans, 25-mans, PvP, Arenas), and then play around with the talent calculators.

Bear in mind that in a week and a half, all the talent trees will change anyhow, and you'll be getting a free respec because of 3.0 patch.

Best of luck in your Lockdom
