Rescue plans for the economies?

I suppose that would depend on who you consider the burglar. The 3 choices I see are (1) congress, (2) banks or (3) defaulted homeowners.

Everyone is to blame we have been told for the past few years that borrowing was to high Governments pushing banks to lend to push consumerism the banks and building societies lending to the public without the old time safe guards IE loan = salary x 2 1/2 approx.

Now what to do

Brown for me is the economist most likely to get the correct solution here and lets get this right safeguarding peoples money has to be right so that there is not a run on the banks which would make the situation irretrievable it is still a problem which will unravel itself but not without a lot of heartbreak Of course a lot of us believe like you the fat cats have been living off irresponsible management yet they are the ones who are being bailed out maybe the Americans will have a solution where the poor people losing their homes will be looked after so I'm afraid keep watching this space

Yeh. What keeps me awake is the nagging thought

that "they" the (over-powerful / corrupt / power-mad) governments (conspiring together)

are now on their way,

with our blessing (cos they worked on us - using our fear, and greed as a sweetener),

with ship-loads of our cash,

to making their (awful / hideous) "New" World Order

a harsh / bleak reality.

That means, with little or no scrutiny, + false accounting (a black hole),

more lying, acting...

they are (immorally) leading us towards a rotten future

i.e. no civil rights

(already evident - happening by stealth),

culminating in (long-planned-for) doomsday.

Hopefully I am wrong! Cos that scenario ain't pleasant...

(Which might just explain why governments aren't doing anything tangible to help us cope with the effects of Climate Change, pollution and oil peak?)

i.e. when / IF the masses are obliterated

(by a staged Nuclear "accident"),

they'll doubtlessly produce

ignorant, willing slaves to pander to their whims / illicit fancies

whilst they are free to go anywhere and do anything -

there'll (still) be nobody to police them...

Yes, but...

what they're doing (and getting away with)

"to protect the system at any cost"

doesn't add up to anything wonderful

i.e. anything that will help relieve global social suffering.
