Her husband is the treasurer of the PAC, and that is his salary. It is not illegal. Pelosi did support legislation to ban the practice (paying a spouse to work on PACs or election committees and such), but it failed to pass.

He doesn't need the money. He has 5 million in Apple stock alone.

On October 1, 2008, a Washington Times story accused Pelosi of directing $99,000 from her political action committee, "PAC to the Future" to her husband's real estate and investment firm over 9 years. The previous year, Pelosi supported a bill that would have banned such practices. The bill did not pass.

Didn't they place Barack Obama to head up the effort to clean up the "culture of corruption"?

I could have sworn I saw him given the reigns over the "anti culture of corruption movement" by the Democratic Leadership in a big Press Conference immediately after they took over Congress.
