Obama supporters: How do i trust your guy to do a good job?
These are some hard times that we are in. We will need a good leader who can not only talk but convert it into action. We certainly dont need another Jimmy Carter now.... My question is how do u have a blin faith that Obama will be able to deliver on his talk? I mean his past experience or however small it is, doesnt show shining examples of this. If so how can you blindly hand over the power pf the presidency to him? Can you give ur reasons other than faith?
WAS this question about mccain?
OK according t u mccain is BAD EVIL yada yada... but how does that justify ur support for Obama?

It sounds like you're not looking for a discussion about policy but more about character. Right?
Well, I've been paying attention to Barack Obama very closely this year. I've noticed a few things that bode well for him as a president.
1) He has made good decisions. His campaign has been run intelligently and strongly. He's never run a national campaign before, and he evidently chose some very smart and savvy people to help him. That tells me that he recognizes smart people with good ideas when he meets them. He didn't pick his oldest friends to run his campaign, he picked the right people for the job. He didn't choose a highly popular and/or polarizing person for his running mate, he chose Joe Biden. A sensitive nice guy who puts his foot in his mouth sometimes, sure, but there is no question that he's capable and qualified to be VP.
2) People like him. Of course there are people out there who don't like his positions on the issues at all. However, by all accounts, he's genuinely a nice guy. Some of our country's most beloved presidents had the same kind of charm and charisma that Obama has. There are people out there who try to make this out to be a bad thing, drawing comparisons to charismatic leaders who were awful people. But the thing is, we've had charismatic leaders in this country before, and they are generally credited as being some of our best presidents. (We don't usually like the stern boring guys, even if they are capable presidents.) Will Obama be as good as they were? No one can answer that. However, the signs point to a favorable outcome.
3) He is calm, rational, and logical. He doesn't jump into a potential mess with both feet. He doesn't pull big gimmicky political stunts. He doesn't take huge risks. When McCain gained in the polls after the RNC convention Democrats all over were up in arms asking why Obama wasn't attacking. Why wasn't he getting mad? His calm was was infuriating to some people who were sure that Obama's response was wrong... but Obama was right. He didn't give in to pressure, and it worked. He did the same thing when McCain tried to pressure him to suspend his campaign last week. He could have demonstrated a kneejerk reaction to McCain's risky strategy and decided that he better jump on that bandwagon, but he did not. Again, he stayed calm. He went to Washington on his own terms, and he dealt with that situation the way he thought was best, not the way somebody else told him he should. That worked too.
I'm sorry this is so long (and honestly I could have written a lot more), but I wanted you to know that I'm not just pulling things out of the air, I really have thought about this. I've been concerned about Obama's inexperience as well, but these things I've observed have quelled my concerns.

This has been asked and given a dignified answer. Come on McCain? Seriously? Palin? Seriously? How do you lack knowledge of the war when your partner can school you? And him, how is his policies different from Bush? The list goes on why McCain is not in!
