Can you freeze roast beef and potatoes for another meal.?

My son is a college student living in a dorm. Whenever we have casseroles I freeze them and send home with him so that he can heat these in the microwave for later. I made roast beef and cooked whole potatoes with it. Will this re-heat ok?

It's best not to freeze potatoes as they become mushy when reheated. Freezing the roast beef always works well.

if it's not a casserole then it will have to be eaten in a few hours once he keeps it in the fridge it should be fine.

casseroles would be better as they'll last longer in the freezer taken out much later.just make sure that they are fully defrosted before they are reheated.

It will reheat just fine. Might even be better the second time around.

Yes you can. It will stay preserved even longer in one of those new vaccum seal Ziploc bags. I like those.
