Ideally I'm after getting a modern work by a Muslim artist (preferably a woman) as a gift for someone. Any names/links would be greatly appreciated.....

i don't know any personally. But you could enquire at the sultan Gallery in Lancaster as they specialise in exhibiting this kind of work.
