SOny Ericsson K880 - Forgotten PIN code? HELP!?
Hi there,
my moron of a nephew has bought a new sony ericsson K800i and given it a nice cryptic "safe" PIN code. Problem is he can't remember the sodding code now and he has a £100 brick in his hand!
Does anyone know how to override the PIN and reset it, or maybe a master code? Or is it, as I fear, a trip back to sony to get it reflashed?
Many thanks in advance for any help!

I did this on my last Nokia phone, and sadly, unless he wrote down the PIN somewhere, you need to take it in to your distributor and have the SIM card replaced, or the code reset. You'll need all of your account information and your identification, and probably some cash too. They don't do that for free anymore (once upon a time they did).

Contact the Sim provider, ask for a PUK code, enter the PIN wrong 3 times, then enter the CORRECT PUK.
Sim will then allow you to change the PIN code. No cost, no flashing.
(T-mobile put the PUK codes in the Sim packs).
