Obama's Tax Cuts for the Middle Class?
Let’s say you make $30,000 a year and Obama doesn’t raise your taxes. But let’s say he imposes a new tax on your employer: 50 percent of what he pays YOU, even if you are self-employed.
Is your employer still going to pay YOU $30,000 a year?
Nope! Even if you get a tax RATE cut, you will get one hell of a wage cut.
That’s Socialism 101. Your Instructor is Barack Obama.
Whether you support Obama or McCain, ask yourself this question: How can Obama cut taxes for 95 percent of the American people when 45 percent don't pay any taxes at all? Is his calculator misfunctioning or is mine?

It's just fascinating to me how people will make protracted arguments with convoluted formulas to protect the position of the wealthy, who really need no help, against the working people of the nation.

You need the Democrat glossary.
1) When the "Bush tax cuts" expire, every bracket gets the biggest increase in history in the 2011 tables. Obamaspeak says this is not a tax increase, it's just "letting the cuts expire."
2) The rates Obama offers are cuts from the high 2011 rates for a few people. Compared to rates from, say . . . right now, it's an increase for every single taxpayer. Since some brackets will be lower than the "post expiration" 2011 rates, this is called a tax cut.
3) Almost half of the public pays no income tax. His plan is to send them money. This is also called a tax cut.
No one should worry about Obama's tax plan unless you get paid, or buy stuff, or hope to get paid or buy stuff anytime soon.
Obama Rocks, Your employer can legally cut your wages or fire you altogether for that matter.
Chelfi, McCain plans to shift health care decisions and spending closer to the person actually seeking the care. In every instance where this has ever been done in any location throughout all of history it has always brought costs down every time without a single exception ever.
Pay attention when Obama speaks. He said he will tax corporations that LEAVE the U.S. He does not have and cannot legally get the power to do that.
Everything Obama promises on the economy/taxes has already been tried. (and you thought he was offering new ideas, didn't you) It's McCain in reverse. In every instance where Obama's ideas have been implemented in any location throughout all of history it has always brought the economy down every time without a single exception ever.
Madaine, he said 95% of WORKING FAMILIES. WAY more than 5% of workers are already off the tax roles.
Paige, as one of the evil rich, you're expected to keep paying everyone and just absorb the hit.
A.R., Convoluted formulas? 95 is more than 55. Was your math score on the SAT's a negative number by any chance?

First question: Your employer will pay you what he needs to pay to get someone to do your job. If he can't do that and make a profit, he'll eliminate your job.
But who says the employer will see a new 50 percent tax on his payroll?
And if you are self-employed, then you are your own employer.
Second question: Semantics. You can't go into details in a stump speech. You could say 95 percent of the people will not see a tax increase instead.

If it somewhat is actual, which I doubt, then it somewhat is pleased with me. As a single, midsection-class citizen with a physically powerful activity and private loan, i'm being eaten alive by way of the two federal, state, and native taxes. I have not have been given any lawsuits approximately tax cuts for the working midsection class. Senior electorate on a fixed earnings have already paid their dues and are regularly saddled with scientific expenditures, so as that they want all the breaks they are in a position to get. i've got have been given no concern by any potential with larger taxes for the wealthy top class and massive companies. What have any of them accomplished for this u . s . a . recently?

You're right on the money as it were, Scott. Obama may very well lower the middle class taxes, but he'll kick us in the rear in other ways. Expect higher taxes on everything we consume and every dollar we earn through investments too. His squashing of businesses will force them to cut bonuses, fringe benefits like vacations time and sick leave, and on and on it goes. Obama is a scam artist, but I believe most Americans are on to him.

If McCain becomes president you know for sure that you're going to get shafted on the costs of health care.
Meanwhile, if I understand it correctly, the bulk of the taxes Obama plans on enforcing for corporations will be imposed on corporations creating jobs overseas. So unless you're working for an American corporation overseas you won't get that wage cut.
Meanwhile, America has lost 760,000 jobs in 2008, and 179,000 of those jobs were lost in September alone. So what do you want: more of the same, or Obama where there just might be a chance for a change for the better?

It is so sad that most people don't understand that a business tax is an indirect tax on the worker and / or the consumer. All businesses pass on the cost of their taxes by laying off workers or raising prices. All this can be fixed by replacing the income tax with the FairTax. Imagine actually giving businesses an incentive hire more people and bring off shore accounts home.

It is impossible to cut taxes for 95% of Americans when the bottom 30% don't pay any federal taxes now!
If he was honest Obama would tell you how much his health care plan would cost. Instead he tells you it will be free.
Everyone knows the middle class will wind up paying, we always do.

I agree with you.
However the role of the legislative branch in all this mess doesn't get talked about much.
Congress spends the money. The president has a role, but most of us tend to overrate it.

Barack Hussein Obama can't cut taxes with all the freebies he is promising to Americans and the rest of the world.
We are headed for a Great Demorcrat Depression if Barack Hussein Obama is elected and implenents his TAX TAX TAX.
