Well...I personally wouldn't do anything unless that person physically did something to me. Normally, you don't have supporters of rivaled teams enclosed within the same pub. It is just too risky.
In a few countries, I know there is a bit of an extreme and not a joking matter. I remember a month ago, I read on the news that after a big rivaled match, two away supporters were leaving the stadium and were unfortunately directed into the wrong bus. The bus was filled with all of the home supporters, and these two blokes were obviously wearing the kit of the team they supported. That was the last mistake they every committed since they were chased down and killed.
Moral of story, those of you who think bantering is all in good fun, be very careful who you do around with. Unfortunately, violence still exists in the world and there are still plenty of crazy people out there who will do anything to "protect" their club.

LMFAO @ "ronaldo is still a butt-humping queer" looollol As for the United haters part, well, they cannot say anything because they have been lucky throughout, their luck ran out, after the double-deflection of a goal today =) and then they just couldn't do the job. All are sore losers and unpleasant winners....=) And what's with all the arguing with the ref and getting dirty when they think they don't have the upper hand? Bunch of people who need sportsmanship lessons if you ask me.

Well they usually get a stern talking to...from the bartenders if it looks like things are getting out of hand. I usually just yell a comeback to whatever lamer song they are singing. The Viva John Terry song has been getting alot of use from the United crowd lately. Love it :)

A LOCAL Man Utd pub? That's funny-I thought a local Man U pub would be about 300 miles from Old Trafford-that is as close as the supporters get.

Ask him what he is doing on the roof of a pub in London, if he wanted to abuse Salford United wouldn't it be better to do it in the bar.
Source(s): Not a Man U fan. - Anonymous1 decade ago
I won't do anything personally. But it's not wise for the hater to be in a pub where there are a lot of supporters and he abuses the team he hates. He is asking for it, to be honest. So I won't be surprised if someone else sorts him out.

Ignore him. It's easier to hate and criticise someone/something that to love and support a team through it's ups and downs.
Raul: Nope. Just answering the question :)
