I was reading several political articles and I was wondering why is Palin's face on and not McCains?

I provided a link to The Weekly Standard, and if you look at the advertisement banners, it only has Palin's face on it and not McCain's. It's like if Bush Senior was running for President and you only saw Dan Quayle's face. Or only having Biden's face on the advertisement. Last I checked, I thought McCain was running for President.

Update:

It's that guy - I really understand what you are saying. However, before Palin, McCain had to use his face. However, it doesn't matter if McCain looks like the crypt keeper. I am not trying to be partisan, but it wreaks of desperation on McCain's part.

Update 2:

Oreos - In my question, the content of the article wasn't important. As I stated, look at the Advertisements you can click on for McCain's campaign. It doesn't have McCain's face on it, just Palin's. You would never see solely Biden's picture on an internet advertisement for Obama even if an article was only about Biden.

This is true and it would even be kind of funny-- if it wasn't so damn important. Sarah Palin wasn't chosen for the vice-presidential nominee on her merits and her extensive government experience alone, she was chosen for her pretty young face!  Come on, I can't believe this lady, if elected, will be second in line for the highest office in our country.  My nine year old daughter has traveled around the world and knows more about cultural differences than Palin. Palin only got a passport a couple of years ago.  Is anybody listening, or watching, or what?  What is up?  And did you see her on the 2 television interviews...?  Hello. Then her debate with Biden, began with Palin asking Biden is she could call him Joe.....with a smile always w/a smile.  To get back on point, McCain was desperate in his rash decision.  She was his hope to capture youth and energy to match those of Obama's.

McCain looks old and decrepit. In a good light he doesn't look bad, but still old and tired. In a bad light he looks -terrible-, like an old man on his last legs. Palin was picked to put a fresh, new face on the campaign. She's become a superstar. She appeared here today in the San Francisco Bay area, of all places, at a fundraiser where people paid $1000 or more to hear her speak.

At this point it's the Palin/Whatzhisname ticket.
