What I love about Islam is that Allah is so Merciful. On the Day of Judgment, He will search for but a grain of belief in your heart, just to be able to grant you Mercy and an entrance to Paradise.

Allah forgives all sins, whether they be minor or major (as long as you don't disbelieve). You can repent anytime you want, as long as it is with sincerity, and Allah will forgive you. He even encourages you to beg for forgiveness, because He loves to forgive.

When Ibliss said to Allah: "By Your Glory and Majesty! As long as the progeny of Adam exists on earth, I shall continuously misguide them." At this, Allah answered: "By My Glory and Majesty! As long as they seek My forgiveness, I will go on to pardon them."

How Merciful! On the Day of Judgment, Allah will draw near to a believer and whisper to him: "Do you know such and such sin? Do you know such and such?" The believer will say: "Yes, my Lord!"

This conversation will continue until Allah will make him confess all his sins, and the believer will think that he is ruined and doomed to Hellfire.

Then Allah will say: "I concealed your sins in the world and I do forgive you today." Then the believer will be given the record book containing his good deeds and be admitted to Paradise.

In Islam, everything depends upon your intention. Whenever a believer intends to do a bad deed, Allah tells the angels "Do not record it against him until he actually commits it. If he has done so, write it down exactly as one in his record book. But if he refrains from it for My sake, write down this as a virtue in his favor. And when he intends to do a good deed, but does not actually do it, write it as a virtue for him. And if he puts it into practice, write its reward equal to, from ten to seven hundred times in his account."

This means that a human being has 1 chance out of 4 of having a bad deed written down, and 3 out of 4 of having a virtue noted in his favour. How Merciful is that? Keeping in mind that the good deed is multplied in the book of records, and the sin is written only as one.

Allah also says: "And if (the believer) draws near to Me a hand's span, I draw near to him an arm's length. And if he draws near to Me an arm's length, I draw near to him a fathom's length. And if he comes to Me walking, I go to him at running." This hadith revealed directly from Allah through the angel Jibreel is beautiful.

It shows how Allah doesn't want us to go to Hell. He will do anything to save us from it. He's Oft-Forgiving, All-Merciful, and He wants only the best for his Slaves.

I can go on and on and on and on...

I think the quran is beautiful, the way its written, its just amazing, gives me chills. I like the way islam has offered women rights, hijab(shawl around the hair) doesn't diminish women. I also love how it teaches us good manners, good qualities , and ethics and so on.. It makes sense, and im proud.. Unfortunatley though, the concept of the islam religion, has been altered quite a bit over the years, hasn't that happened to everything? People, extrimests which beleive that terrorism is part of 'jihad', are well? Extremists, the actions they commit are affecting islam alot... AGAIN I REPEAT, ISLAM, THE QURAAN, THE PROHET, AND GOD..NEVER SAID TO GO OUT AND KILL A BUNCH OF PEOPLE WITH FAMILIES 'IN THE NAME OF GOD'...and not all terrosists are arabs and muslims...damn media manipulating you people On the contrary the quran says that muslims should never hurt a soul, they should take care of the elder and the young, and they should respect people of all religions and colors and so on.

  • Salaam, I am not a Muslim yet, but what I like about Islam is that Islam is a religion with a lot of activity, I mean many sacrifices or actions that strengthen your faith each day (like for example washing, praying, and fasting during Ramadan). I like the discreteness and how women conserve themselves. And the charity work, helping others out with the zakat. I like the great faith that surrounds Islam and Muslims.

I like how it is a very personal religion but it is also very communal. It focuses not just on this world or on the next but on both.

I like how it establishes routines for daily and long term life. I like how there are many interpretations of things in Islam. I like how safe I feel as a Muslim.

I like how challenging being a Muslim is, and also how easy it is.

I'm sure there is more but this is a good start for me!

Well, I just answered this in R&S so, copy, paste, okay go:

My favourite things about Islam? The prayers. Very deep and meaningful. I like the emphasis on family. The obligations to the poor. The promotion of education. Extensive women's rights (at least in theory, which is more than I can say for Christianity, my own religion). I also like how many people still follow at least the main precepts, such as prayer, fasting, alms, etc.

My favourite story of the Prophet (pbuh) is one in which Christian priests or bishops came to visit with him. They asked where they could celebrate mass on Sunday. Mohamed (pbuh) responded that they could use the mosque. This epitomizes Islam for me. This Islam of tolerance, openness, generosity, caring, oneness and peace.

I like to be in that peace of Islam every time i see a trouble of non-muslims(about alchols, drugs, relationships) i thank Allah on the bless of Islam alhamdllah.

Although I am not a Muslim, it seems that Muslims have a stronger sense of family values.

How often do you hear about Muslims getting divorced?Children out of control?Teen pregnancy? Unwed mothers?

Besides I believe we all pray to the same God, we just call him by different names.

Muslim believers do not push their beliefs on others, however, this could be partly why others are so ignorant to the Muslim faith and quick to judge.

I think more Muslims should apply as teachers in public schools however I don't know if this is acceptable.

The one part of Islam I like is also the part I find most fascinating: the Peace that I find by submitting to the Will of God!

    In Islam, I found Salaam!

  • I like Islam for its simplicity.

    --------

    Hadith

    --------

Narated By Abu Huraira : The Prophet said, "Religion is very easy and whoever overburdens himself in his religion will not be able to continue in that way. So you should not be extremists, but try to be near to perfection and receive the good tidings that you will be rewarded; and gain strength by worshiping in the mornings, the nights."

Narated By Talha bin 'Ubaidullah : A man from Najd with unkempt hair came to Allah's Apostle and we heard his loud voice but could not understand what he was saying, till he came near and then we came to know that he was asking about Islam. Allah's Apostle said, "You have to offer prayers perfectly five times in a day and night (24 hours)." The man asked, "Is there any more (praying)?" Allah's Apostle replied, "No, but if you want to offer the Nawafil prayers (you can)." Allah's Apostle further said to him: "You have to observe fasts during the month of Ramadan." The man asked, "Is there any more fasting?" Allah's Apostle replied, "No, but if you want to observe the Nawafil fasts (you can.)" Then Allah's Apostle further said to him, "You have to pay the Zakat (obligatory charity)." The man asked, "Is there any thing other than the Zakat for me to pay?" Allah's Apostle replied, "No, unless you want to give alms of your own." And then that man retreated saying, "By Allah! I will neither do less nor more than this." Allah's Apostle said, "If what he said is true, then he will be successful (i.e. he will be granted Paradise)."
