I am planning a 4 day trek with a few mates to lake district from London using public transport( most likely trains). We are planning on camping in the Grizedale camp site and during the research have discovered that to get to the camp site we must take another over 3 hour long train from the Oxenholme Lake District station, however walking/treking to the campsite will take 6 hours. I was just wondering if anyone has every tried to do that and any tips/ suggestion you can give regarding anything about lake district would be greatly appreciated. Thank you
