I think I have rosacea ... my face is always dry and irritated and looks REALLY red. What can I do to help?
I am 27 years old and have had skin problems all of my life (acne, oily/dry combination skin). I'm at my wits end with the redness, though ... there are days I don't want to leave the house because of how my skin looks and it makes me really depressed sometimes.

You need to go see a dermatologist. I have rosacea, I couldn't stand it either it was embarrassing.
If it is rosacea, there is no cure but with medication it can be handled and the redness gone. My doctor prescribed, Adoxa (an antibiotic) Metrogel (you can goggle it) and Plexion cleaner to help contol the redness and oil.
I had let mine go on for a long time and had broken blood vessels on my cheeks and around my nose but a couple sessions with the laser and she cleared that all up.
A dermatologist is the way you need to go, I tried a lot of "remedies" that just don't work and wasted a lot of money.
Best of luck

You really need to read "Rosacea Free Forever" by Laura Taylor (also available in electronic format here: http://www.rosaceafreeforever.info/ ). It's about how to permanently cure your Rosacea naturally. I cured my Rosacea permanently in only 4 days after reading this.
Stop paying paying each month good money on creams. This is exactly what the pharmaceutical industry wants you to do! They want to milk money from you each month.

there is no cure for rosacea and it usually shows up in adults around 30.
you should avoid extreme temperatures (hot towels, hot water and very cold) only medium temps are non irritating.
also avoid spicy foods. dont exfoliate your skin, so scrubs are out of the question. u need to use a gentle mild clenaser.
there are over the counter remedies but there is no cure.
u could see an esthetician to help treat it tho!

my mom has that. she tried EVERYTHING and nothing worked. Then finally she was at the docs office, for something completely different, and he noticed it and gave her a prescription to help it. Much better now.
