What to do about mooching sister?

Oh gosh where do I start? My older sister (48 years old) has been living with me for about 7 months. She had this mid-life crisis of some sort and decided to move. To accomadate her, I moved into a bigger apt. I was thinking that she would get over her mid-life crisis and become a productive member of society; self sufficient; since she has been doing that up until 7 months ago. She did find a job but it doesn't pay much. She barely gives me $200 a month, which does nothing but make up the difference from my old rent. Their is still food to buy, water bill, electricity, etc.

I really want to help her, but it doesn't seem that she wants to help herself. I feel as though she reverted back into being a kid and expects me to take care of her like I do with my two girls. She doesn't know how to manage her money. She sees me keeping my appearance up, for instance, me getting my hair and nails done. She'll want to do the same thing but she can't afford it making her being unbearable to be around. Every once and awhile she'll go get her nails done but then she runs out of money to buy her much needed diabetes medication.

I swear she is like my 3rd child. She'll even ask me to make her doctors appt. Sometimes I think that my own kids will grow up, move out and she will still be living with me. How do I get rid of this canker sore of a sister? I tried to be tactful, but that just caused her to get depressed and go into this thing that nobody loves her.

Update:

I should add that my sister is 15 years older than me....while I was a kid growing up, I always looked at her as a independent strong woman...but now I am so dissapointed with the way she turned out.

well you should tell her to get her own place. since she is almost 50. tell her you have your family to take care of. And she needs to go live else where. She is putting a burden on you. Because you are her younger sister. And feels you owe her something. . Maybe she feels bad and her guilt has got to her. bercause she let you down. And wants you to let her know, its ok now. And what done is done. and you still love her. Maybe it will make her feel better.

I consider it is determined by how mentally sick she is. If you believe that you'll speak to her with out her going off on then you definitely by way of all way you have got to inform her to wash her reduce to rubble or get out! Your father has raised her and now she is doing him, the complete loved ones flawed. It is clever to watch out although while handling any one who has severe intellectual disorders in view that mostly they might harm you or thierself.. So watch out. If you and your loved ones need to then get her on a application referred to as HUD, and allow her reduce to rubble her possess location.I do consider that your sister can learn to straighten up. She would have got to be on a few well treatment for melancholy. Sometimes while a man or woman is depressed it is al they may be able to do is to take a bath so opt for accurately what you have to do. Good success to you! And have a blessed day.
