Do you think Sarah Palin fakes her accent? ?

I know this isn't anything hard-hitting, but I did find it interesting that Sarah Palin seems like she's playing up her accent lately. Here's a video compilation:

http://www.salon.com/politics/war_room/2008/10/07/...

.

Update:

Wow--you guys are coming out of the woodwork today huh? Did any of you actually watch the video?

Update 2:

Alright--I seriously did not bring this up to offend anyone--I just watched that video and wanted to get some other opinions. In the debates and certain recent stories it's very heavy, in some of the older clips it's not heavy at all. Some of you are really taking this way too seriously...

I don't know about Alaska, I've never been there, but I do travel the 48 states, and her accent is common in in the upper mid-west such as northern Wisconsin, Minnesota, North and South Dakota, Montana and Idaho, where I understand she went to college. It's interesting if you study history and learn where these different accents come from. Governor Palin's accent is Scandinavian/Norwegian where those people settled the areas I just mentioned. That southern "twang" you hear from the southeast comes from a mixture of Irish and French.

I agree, it's a product of the Rove machine that originally taught George W Bush to speak with a Texas accent in order to lose his elite Connecticut-raised and Ivy League-educated associations. She spoke like an Albertan when she first was introduced, but dag nabbit, she's got a healthy dose of wannabe hillbilly thrown in there, too.

She's a perfect illustration of style over substance. She'd do anything to win, but learning about the issues is not now, nor has it ever been on her radar.

    Plastic surgery, anybody?

Whoever said "That's how Alaskans sound" is completely wrong.

Her accent isn't fake, but Alaskans do not have any kind of accent!

Palin wasn't born in Alaska, she's from Missouri or something, and her parents talk the same way.

She is full of bunk to sell who ever will give her attention , with her winks, wrinkling up her nose, sounding sweet, squealing, , its the same kind of thing Bush kept developing a strong accent to make people fall for his down home innocence or something to make folks not think he is smart enough to pull the wool over their eyes, she is no different.. Suddenly she is speaking more articulate and she must have ben told not to be so loud and short with the answers. Likek !I'M wihH! yoU! sO!

Yes I watched, she is nausiating
