My Windows Md Player shows the video but has no sound. What's the matter, please?
I've checked already with every possible DVD, homeburnt, commercial, etc... Other players are OK (Power DVD, and VLC media player).
The only different thing I did lately was install a trial version of Sony Vegas Editor: could this be the cause?

you will have to download the codecs for that file type in order to get the sound.
go to freecodecs.com or just google k-lite codec pack and download it and install it. after that you shouldnt have many issues with no sound.
