If Obama thinks this is the greatest nation in the world why does he want to "Change" it?

I don't know about you but I heard him say "We live in the greatest nation in the world" last night at least 3 times. So what does he want to change? Is a capitalistic nation so unpopular that we should try socialism?

Not capitalistic so much as oligarchic now. We're paying the price for that and need to get back to ethical capitalism.

Also agree with other comment, Greatest <> Perfect.

Both candidates have the same position: things are great, but we need change.

So, don't pin this only on Obama.

That said, what this means is "we're great, but we could be better."

    There's always room for improvement.

Also, when it comes to Obama, what he's saying is that we used to be better, but the "being the best" as been hurt, badly, in the last 8 years or so.

See this is why i hate people like you, you dont understand politics. He said he will change what happended to the country from what G.W Bush did, if you havent realized MCcain is just like Bush. Obama wants to change and make this country better and MCcain wants to stay the same.

Wow what a stupid question. Just because we are a great nation doesn't mean we don't need change. Obviously you have no clue what's going in the country.

Because it needs to be changed. Bush has ruined our economy, our education, our social standings with our allies.....and so much more. Obama wants to fix all of that and make us great once more.

It is a great nation, but even the greats have moments of despair *coughBushcough*.

Wow they say there are no stupid questions, but this one... wow.

Yeah let's just keep things going the same as Bush, 'cause that's working so well.

We need to change the government. I think that McCain has also been saying that.
