What size overlays should I use on a 50" round table?
I am getting married in October 2009. Our reception site uses 50" round reception tables with white 72" square tablecloths. I want to add some type of champagne colored organza overlay to throw over the white table cloth. The overlay isn't functional, so it doesn't need to be the same size as the tablecloth. But, I want to make sure that it covers the whole top of the table, so that you can't see any of the white tablecloth on TOP of the table (I don't care if you can see it on the sides!). The vendor I found says she can make 60" square overlays, but I'm not sure if that's the right size. Thoughts? Suggestions?

60" will give you an overhang of 5"
Which should be ample. It will look
like enough without being overbearing.
But just to be sure, ask the vendor what size
cloth she's starting with and how much of a hem it will have.
Because if she turns it 1/4" under and another 1/4" to finish
it, you lose 1" all the way around, which then give you a 4"
overhang, assuming her fabric dimensions are "true".
Congratulations :-) though.
