Breast abscesses... Do I need to go back to the doctor?
So I had my baby in April and a week after I got mastitis and then abscesses in my right breast from breastfeeding. After 6 weeks of antibiotics the surgeon decided that the two lumps were going away and would not need surgrey. He told me to come back and see him if the lumps did not go away fully and if the pain and problems came back. The lumps went away to my knowledge but I feel this weird sensation constantly where they used to be. Is this normal and will it go away or do I need to revisit the doctor?

I'd call him. The weird sensation could mean they haven't fully gone away and it's better to play it safe. Doctors are there to help you so don't hesitate to call!

Perhaps just call them and ask/describe the symptoms - thell them you really don't want to come in if it's not necessary - they may tell you it's totally normal to have some kind of "afterpains" and that it will go away within a time period or if not THEN you need to come in. Just call - can't hurt right?
Good luck - I have a mastitis and it was no fun!
