Mine is Monsieur Dupin who is the character of Edgar Allen Poe's

Sherlock Holmes is a close second

    Sherlock Holmes, of course. He's been wrong, what, twice? That's pretty good for a detective of so many cases. He's positively ingenious, and I love him.
