If Obama wins (which he very well may) what will happen next?

I'm not being funny or snarky here, but based on what I have seen on Yahoo Answers and other sites, there are a lot of people who think Obama is a Muslim, America hater yadda, yadda, yadda. I'm sure you have seen it.

I guess what I'm truly thinking is ---if Obama wins, what do you think would conceivably happen? Serious thoughts only, please. I'm very curious to see what others are thinking.

And for the record--I am not a Pro-or anti Obama--I haven't decided on who I will vote for. Just call me a curious Independent. :)

Update:

Lee B--we had 6 years of a Republican controlled Congress and a Republican president and look what they did--so yes, no checks and balances would be bad regardless!

Well he will have a huge mess to clean up after 8 years of the current administration. It may take a while to clean house.

And hopefully, he will do what he campaigned - bring about change - change in the way the government is being run.

Well if he does win the election (which im hoping). I really do and am not happy about it, think he may get assassinated within a year or 2.

I really think there are to many racist people still that will try and one could succeed. I really don't think either one of these candidates will be able to pull us out of this hole that bush put us in. It's gonna take a while.

Source(s): Either one is better than bush.

Alot of thing would come out, which is on D/L like race even when we are dealing with it now but people will be more up front. You really have too think Bush have us in some much it really going too be hard to bring us out. He not going too know the budget until then.

I'm not sure anyone totally knows for sure. But I do know you will have Obama/Pelosi/Reid in lock step with the Democrats gaining even more seats in congress. They will be free to do what they wish at least for 2 years with no checks and balances.

definitely, from a checklist that I observed on television, 2 communities placed Obama back into workplace, the womens vote and the Hispanic vote. As on your assertion that illegals have been introduced in, you your self reported it grew to become right into a "rumor". besides, all around the rustic, we've voter identity regulations. The republicans ought to ,possibly re-examine their stance with women persons and Hispanics.

What will happen next is a serious celebration aimed at releasing the frustrations of 8 years of Bush rule and being saved from 4 more years of failed Republican policies at the hands of McCain! It will be a joyous time for all, even the Republicans once they become honest with themselves.

first of all it doesn't matter what religion he embraces, and i highly doubt that it is muslim. this is america. we have the freedom of religion . i expect that we will have hope, that america will have a focus that includes our neighbors, our friends, our schools and our future. the "live high on the hog "days are an embarrassing legacy that baby boomers have left for at least eight generations to pay off. i am the last of the boomers, i vote democrat because i care about your future.

I believe the Bill of Rights will be trampled and the USA might well spiral into civil unrest.

I am afraid there will no true middle class, there will be only two catagories the poor and the wealthy. The poor will be most of us, but you will always have the ultra wealthy, Hollywood, politicians, etc.
