Green spots on a leather jacket?
l have a black and blue leather jacket. The blue part of the jacket has green spots, which l come to think it's mole and or mildew. l have tried mink oil and saddle soap... nothing!! Last thing l won't do is take to cleaners. Any solutions of how to rid these green spots. Thank you

If it's mold, there would be a very short green growth to be scraped off with your fingernail. I doubt that either mold or mildew spots will come out - I don't see how they couldn't damage the leather. You should, perhaps, look in the yellow pages for someone who specializes in leather cleaning and call to make an appointment to discuss this with the manager or owner.

Sounds like water or a food oil. Is the suede on the other side green. If so then its probably a food oil.Real animal skin after being tanned is conditioned with saddle soap.Depending on how it was dyed and with what type of dye. Determines how the leather will react with other oils and waters.The leather turning green due to the suede side which is probably green. Not really much you can do . Just wash and go.Its leather, cheap but its leather. Good luck.

Green not really the great color to wear with black and blue leather jacket. Unless you want to be embrassed! Fashion is BIG!
