Salt and Pepper grinders...?
If I put salt in a pepper grinder will it break the salt to a small enough grain for use on food or does a salt grinder have a different mechanism in it ?
I have a pepper grinder that does not have a matching specific salt grinder or shaker and was considering getting another pepper grinder like the one i have to use for the salt.

salt grinders tend to have a different grinding plate to ensure that the salt is ground finely enough, you could possibly use a pepper grinder if it was tightened up enough, but the only way to check is to try it, why not empty the pepper grinder and put some salt in it, if it works as you want then go buy one if it doesn't then you saved some money hehe!
