What do you think we can exepct from the Vancouver Canucks this year?

I personally don't think they are as improved as most think. Yes, they got Bernier and Demitra, but lost Naslund and Morrison, who were a big part of their offense. They struggled last year with goal scoring, and will probably continue to struggle this year. Their defense will have to pick them up if they want to make the playoffs. Luongo will be able to steal some games, but its going to take a good defensive effort each and every night.

I think they will be in a race for the 8th spot at the end of the season.

Well if you go by their preseason record, we can expect great things... unfortunately, preseason means nothing. They are definitely a better team than last year. They found a tough right-handed shot in Steve Bernier to put on the top line with the Sedins. Their second line is improved with newly-acquired Pavol Demitra, Pyatt/Wellwood, and Mason Raymond seems ready to rip it up in the NHL. Their defense was injured last year (only two of their top six defensement played over 70 games), and Roberto Luongo was unfocused as his wife was having a baby in a different country. If the defense stays healthy i predict the canucks will win their division and can go deep into the playoffs.

I think they've vastly improved from last season. This is almost a whole new team and they're playing with a passion; the perfect (last I checked, it was perfect...) pre-season record is evidence of that. Remember, the death of Luc Bourdon will also drive them to win.

About the same thing we got from those "Metz" a ball of fire that crashes out of existence when the time is right...I believe they call it Shea-Ja-Vu...We can call there's Deja-cuov...LOL!!!!
