Fore the sake of a parallel, what would happen if it came out that McCain and Timothy McVeigh were friends?

I believe their would be an outcry from the Democraps. Would there not? Why then, do they see nothing wrong with Obaminations associations with Bill Ayers?

What did YOUR neighbor do 40 years ago that we should hold against YOU?

Let it go, Ayers is no longer a radical. He's a respected professor and Chicago citizen of the year.

There's a huge difference. Obama was 6 to 8 years old when Bill Ayers was with the Weather underground. Obama met him when Ayers was a community organizer and on an education board and committee together formed by a very conservative Republican Lois Annenberg who also contributes heavily to the McCain campaign. My suggestion is to investigate McCain's association with Ayers because of this. Because his association with Ayers is about the same as Obama's in this case.

Timothy McVeigh was a convicted killer. Ayers hasn't been convicted of anything. There are lots of people that knew Timothy McVeigh in his lifetime. Should they all be painted with the same brush?

McCain has befriended a convicted felon who advised his supporters on how best to shoot federal officials, used the money of a convicted criminal to help buy a house, befriended a radical anti-Catholic televangelist, befriended a radical anti-American televangelist, was a long-time associate of Charles Keating, and hired for his campaign the publisher of a Confederate nostalgia magazine who has described Nelson Mandela as a "terrorist." This week, we also learned about McCain serving on the board of the extremist U.S. Council for World Freedom, where he worked alongside Iran-Contra figures, and a eugenics researcher studying "white superiority."

So there is no need to make such a parallel, it already exists, and there is no outcry.

Apples and oranges my friend. Besides, McVeigh, although a disgrace, was a dissident of neocon policies so Mccain and him would never have been friends.

There would be a tremendous uproar from the liberal left as they made up even more stories about McCain. Oh and to the poster that referred to the Keating 5, McCain was cleared of any wrongdoing in that. I am still waiting for the connection between Obama and Resko, guess we will have to wait a little longer for a truly unbiased media to tell the truth about that.

We don't have to be hypothetical.

Keating 5 and the Council of Economic Freedom is enough to be a real comparison.

Oh.. and to Smith.. Ayers was never convicted. Make up your mind.

Democrats would cry about it...but we know that McVeigh was not..we know that Ayers and other American haters are in Obama's pocket...I wonder how much will be expected from him personally and politically from these hate mongers if he should win??
