About imdb going to pot.?

I agree, I deleted my account I had for a couple of years and made a new one to find out that I had to give them my credit card number to confirm my account.. I don't have a credit card number, amazon account or a cell phone so none of their stupid options worked and I can't post anymore. definitely a mistake on my part for deleting it

The great thing about the IMDB is that it has a wealth of information. I've been going there for a decade or more. You can find almost every movie, they have forums,

and people can add information like Wiki.

That last one is also it's drawback. Some people post incorrect data and it makes it less reliable.

Example: Julianne Moore appeared on Late Night with Conan O'Brien and stated that the IMDB listed her as being married 3 times and she said that she was never married three times. She stated that one of the entries, where she was married from 1983-85 or something like that, was false.

I see absolutely nothing wrong with IMDb! It's a very handy, easy-to-use site with a lot of interesting information. I think it's the most referred-to site when it comes to identifying movies.

I ignore the voting, as it obviously shows no rhyme nor reason. Seeing many stars on forgettable, poorly done but presently popular films should let people know that it's not to be taken seriously.

Why do you find it "harder and harder to use their service"? In all of the time I've been visiting this site, I haven't noticed anything becoming difficult, and I'm a rather tech-challenged person.

Some of the ads are getting out of hand and the voting system was ruined by Dark Knight, Pulp Fiction, and Godfather fans but its still a great site.
