When and how to tell my oldest he is gonna be a big brother again...?

I waited until around 11 weeks when I had the initial ultrasound to tell my 3 year old daughter. She was amazed at what she saw on the screen, and it made it real to her. I am 38 weeks, and she is taking it very well. Everywhere we go she brags about her sister in mommy's tummy, and tells everyone her sister's name. She is extremely excited.

wait until you see the heartbeat and know everything is ok with the baby. explaining why there is no more little brother if something goes wrong wont be fun.

you could play a guessing game with him. or buy him and his other sibling big brother shirts.

Buy two shirts, One saying "Best Big Brother in the World" and one that is baby sized that says anything baby related.

Wrap both and then give him the presents. Let him unwrap the babies shirt first. When he notices it is to small explain to him what is happening and then give him his new shirt.

do you need to decorate a room or something? siblings need to share rooms? someone i know, said to hers 'you and your sister will have to share a room now, can you guess why?' etc etc
