How to remove water spots from car windows?

I decided to clean and detail my car today, and while doing the windows, I noticed that there are water spots that will not go away. I use a really good, foaming glass cleaner and not Windex, wiped with newspaper (I've always used this to do my windows), and to no avail, the spots are still there. Is there any household product that I can use to remove these? I don't really have the time to drive to the auto shop to buy any expensive specialty cleaners, and was wondering if anyone had any ideas for a household solution that WORKS? I did a Google search and found some pretty scary results. I do not want to work with anything that risks stripping the paint or ruining my car in any way. Any advice is appreciated. Thanks!

Vinegar. Lemon juice. Lime juice. These will remove lime spots from

your glass. Just a few drops on a soft clean cloth and hold it on the

lime spot for a few minutes and it should dissolve it away.

An easy natural formula that should not damage your car is the proven method below...

    Natural Formula to Use:

½ liter white vinegar and ¼ liter of water

    Method to Use:

    1. Fill a clean spray bottle with pure vinegar

    2. Spray the vinegar/water solution over the window and wait for a few minutes

    3. If stains are stubborn spray more solution and wait a while longer

    4. Scrub lightly with a soft sponge or cloth and rinse

    Tip:

Try to deal with the water spots straight away as the solution works best with newly formed or mild hard water spots.
