What is wrong with this guinea pig? ?
a few weeks ago we got a guinea pig when she was 12wks. she was gentle and easy to care for, but now she's mean and biting the kids, she doesn't want to be held anymore or be bothered at all i'm beginning to wonder is is pregnant because I read that they can get pregnant as young as 2mos. old. What is wrong with her and she has plenty to eat, drink and wood chips to bite on.....

wood chips?? does she have timothy hay 24 hours a day?? Is she getting vitamin C daily?? She could have mites and this will make them irritable.Please go to www.guinealynx.com and www.guineapigcages.com for the best information on how to properly care for your guineapig. Unfortunatly the info they give you at the pet store is 95% incorrect, after all, if they told you exactly how much care guinea pigs need and how big of a cage they really need, less people would buy from them.

she maybe pregnant I would just leave her be for a few days and see what she does
