If there is a place in the room that you will be looking at from a few feet away, it should be dark. Such a place is called the focal point in interior decoration language.

A place where you sit and study/read must be lightly coloured. [ A tinge of light green is said to stimulate your senses ]

generally the "focus"wall should be the darker color but the lighting in the room natural and electric will play a part .if you were to paint the wall opposite the windows it could wash away any difference in tones. i suggest you paint a small section of each wall with each color before deciding to really see what works in your home.

The offset wall is usually the far end wall as you enter the doorway. (E.G) When you first walk into a bedroom, your looking straight ahead, and it's usually the first wall you take notice of. Some people even paint the offset wall, the wall that's behind the bed, or behind a television. Good luck.

you prefer mild colorations on your front room to make the area look greater. i could choose a beige/cream shade for the backside and a lighter shade of cream for the authentic. There are particularly some colorations for cream with bizarre names like 'Toffee Cream' and 'Fudge Heaven,' probably made by way of hungry human beings lol.
