  • What are your thoughts on this true bizarre story?

Lastnight something VERY bizare happened to me. It doesn't even seem real to me, but it was.

I was walking out of a 7-11 store and this man, whom I've never met or seen in my life approached me out of nowhere wearing a white hindu type hat, and a white silk robe. As I was walking to my truck, he grabbed my arm and said ''your a very lucky man''. I ignored him and got into my truck. I sat in my truck about to pull off, when something forced me to ask him what in the world was he talking about, and what did he mean by the remark. So I leaned out the car window and asked him ''What did you mean?'' He walked over to my truck, and asked me if I had a minute to spare, and if he could sit in the truck for a minute. Normally I would reject, and probably think that he was a mental case, but he seemed sincere, and its not everyday someone experiences a weird encounter like that....So I said ''yea, sure I don't mind''. The man got in the car and introduced himself, and said that he was a traveling healer from Pakistan, and that he was a psychic. He went on to tell me some strange things, that noone in this world would ever know...He was genuine as they come. When he was all done, he wrote on a piece of a paper and folded it, and asked me to pick a number from 1-100 and pick a flower, any flower. I thought in my head ''Baby Breath (flower)'' and the number 12 (My sons birthday) and handed me the piece of paper. It blew my mind when I opened up that piece of paper and he wrote down exactly those 2 things. I got goose bumps all over my body. Before he got out the truck he asked if there was anything I could do to help him (money wise) so he could catch a bus to the city. I was so blown away from this man that I gave him 50 bucks. I still have goose bumps

  • Has anyone ever hooked up an external hard drive to an Xbox 360 and watched movies?

Well my question is this......How do I get the album art to show up on my TV through the xbox (as I'm browsing through movies on my hard drive) instead of the AVI icon or whatever it is? I know it works because I saw it on my friends TV once, but he said that he downloaded it that way. I tried ''right clicking'' on the properties icon, and changed it so that the picture would work while viewing my files online, just not through the Xbox, and Tv. Do I need to format the picture or something? Any help would be appreciated, and 10 pts to the first right answer. Thanks for reading

  • Question about Dental partials?

I'm a 62 year old male in need of upper partials for my upper back teeth. My question is...If I wanted to get my upper left side (back molars) pulled and have partials, could I do the same to my right upper side a year later using the same partials? Or would I have to get 2 seperate partials made? Is there a way they could re-use the same partials when they pull my right side?

  • Has anyone ever seen Leonardo Dicaprios movie ''This boy's life''?

I have a question concerning the movie. My 11 year old niece is spending the week with me and my wife, and she loves Leonardo Dicaprio, and is dyeing to see the movie ''This boy's life''. I remember watching this movie years ago, and if I'm correct, isnt there a nude scene where he's nude? I'm trying to avoid a conflict between my wife, and I, and her parents. I don't want her watching anything like that. Thanks.

  • How long does the bank give you to pay back a scammed check?

My 18 year old nephew was involved in a situation where he received a check in the mail for $10,000 from Canada (in which he had to sign for), stating that he won $100,000, and all he has to do is pay back $2000 in taxes or insurance before he receives the other 90,000$. The thing is...He cashed the whole thing, and spent the whole ENTIRE money. He hasn't got a letter from the bank yet, but after reading stories VERY similar to his online, I came to realize that he was a victim of an overseas scam. What's the worst that's going to happen to him? and how long will the bank give him to pay it back? He's only 18, and isn't capable of paying this back anytime soon.

  • HDTV/Comcast Hdtv connection question

I recently bought an Hitachi HD TV without an HDMI outlet from a friend, and I called comcast to order HDTV. I have to pick up the box tomorrow. Does anyone know how I can hook this up if I don't have HDMI outlet? Is there some type of splitter I use to get it to work? And if so, does that affect the picture quality?

  • What do you think of my prologue?

I'm writing my first horror book, and wanted to know what everyone thought of the prologue so far?

The Mills Farm house is an old beautiful, vacant, Victorian home, built in the mid 1800’s, by an early settler, named George W. Mills. The home, sits isolated in its solitary, surrounded by 2 acres of woods, lead by a long, dirt road that leads to the heart of the small town of Dallas, Pennsylvania. It is known for its elegant 2,304 square foot structure, and spacious Veranda that wraps around the entire front of the estate. In the winter of 1854, George Mills, and his wife Elizabeth came to Dallas, after their cabin, and along with the rest of their town in Buffalo New York, was attacked, and burned to the ground by a tribe of Iroquois Indian’s. George and his wife Elizabeth purchased 10 acres of land from an earlier settler named John Wallo, where he began building his future home for him, and his wife. It’s said that George spent the next four years to complete the house in its entirety, and not soon, after in the summer of 1858, his wife Elizabeth gave birth to their first of three children, named Mary. A year later in 1859 they had a second daughter named Rachel, followed by their only Son, George W Mills II in 1861.

Then tragically in 1864, their daughter Mary became very ill from Typhus, and died suddenly at their home at the age of six. A year later in 1865 their daughter Rachel died from a head trauma, as she accidently slipped, and fell down a flight of stairs, also at the age of six. In 1867 their only surviving child, George at the age of six, unexpectedly disappeared from their home, and was never seen again. In 1869, Elizabeth suffered a heart attack, and died at the young age of 36, but there are rumors that she died from a broken heart. As time went on, George eventually moved on from the sudden deaths of his family, and remarried a widow woman from Luzerne named Nancy Heinz in 1867. After George and Nancy were married nine years, George found Nancy dead after she cut her wrist during a suicide attempt in their bedroom. Shortly after Nancy’s death, George took his own life, by hanging himself to a 4x6 beam in the basement of the house just months after Nancy’s suicide.

Very few families have lived in the house after the Mills, in which all had short welcomes, before they eventually moved out, and left the house behind.

The last family to live in the Mills house was Michael Dowry, and his wife Samantha, followed by their son Jeff, who died at the age of six in 1958 from natural causes. The Dowry’s took their son Jeff’s death very hard, and could not face another day at the house, so they decided to leave everything behind, and start a new life. Years passed, and still yet, the house sit’s there vacant, with its gorgeous architect, and its blood chilling history.
