Planning a family reunion type vacation somewhere around the Austin, Tx. area but need ideas on where to go...?

Somewhere besides San Antonio. Somewhere that has some sort of attractions to lure people there. Have any ideas? Family members are from age 18 to 60 so no casino type adventure....

Try Schlitterbahn. They have condos and cabin on-site. I think they do package deals. And Schlitterbahn is right on the river, so you could spend one day rafting and the rest at Schlitterbahn. I've always thought that would be a perfect place for a family reunion. (It's in New Braunfels, by the way.... about half-way between Austin and San Antonio.)

San Antonio is a greater appropriate place for the youngsters (different than in the event that they're Asian when you consider that there are not rather many Asians in S.A.). There are greater factors of interest like the zoo, SeaWorld, Fiesta Texas, Schlitterbahn, etc. Austin is geared in direction of DINKY varieties and a school-elderly demographic. frequently although, Austin is a lot greater high priced and the activity marketplace is probable greater appropriate (of direction that relies upon on the region) and noticeably greater paying (working example an IT activity that would pay $70k in Austin would pay purely $50k in S.A.). militia correct positions are in lots greater abundance in San Antonio, yet it rather is not what I do. some thing feasible to contemplate incredibly is the liberal Austinite "cutting-edge and ex-militia-hating, non-agreeing stomping" mentality.

Bastrop State Park has some nice cabins for rent. The park has a nice pool, bike & walking trails, & a golf course. It's about 20 minutes from Austin so plenty close to drive in daily if you want for great shopping and restaurants. Close enough to drive to New Braunfels, Greune & Fredericksburg for day (or night) trips.
