WANT TO KNOW HOW TO HOOK UP CD PLAYER TO DURABRAND PORTABLE STEREO?
The disc player on my Durabrand stereo will not play my CDs. Before I moved, I had my portable CD player plugged into it so I could play my CD and hear the music through the Durabrand speakers. It worked perfectly and sounded really good. Now that I have moved, however, I don't remember how I had it all hooked together and no sound comes out of the Durabrand speakers. Can anyone help me? And yes, I need easy to follow, step-by-step directions. Thanking you in advance for any suggestions offered concerning this question.
I wanted to add that I have a tape cassette adapter in the Druabrand cassette drawer and the cassette adapter is plugged into the CD player. But I get no sound. The Durabrand home stereo is model #CD1493. The CD player is a Durabrand, model #CD416. I hope this additional information helps someone figure out what I can do to have sound.

Hello,
Whenever possible you should always mention model numbers of equipment you are asking about.. it makes it easier to look up information on. Otherwise we have to guess at what connections you have, switch positions etc.
In any case, you likely have your CD player plugged into your portable radios "aux" or "mic" jack, depending on what it has. Usually you need to select the "Tape" position on the selector switch to be able to hear anything coming in on those connections; they do it this way so that you can record from those sources too.
Good luck!
