Some other insects have caterpillar-like larvae, so in a sense no, but there are no caterpillars which do not naturally pupate and become adult insects. However, there is a group of caterpillar-like animals which do not metamorphose called the Onychopora, which live in leaf litter.

No, some turn into moths :P All caterpillars turn into some sort of winged insect, being a caterpillar is a stage of development.

all caterpillars turn in to butterflies they all go through the process but they can die when they are a caterpillar or dure in the process

Normally they do unless they are killed in the process like a bird eating the caterpillar

No, some caterpillars turn to moths, and some are not meant to change at all (i.e. tent caterpillars).

no, not all caterpillars turn into butterflies because they do not get enough food or water , it depends upon the conditions they live on for example the weather, food, water, etc

I think so, but I feel sorry for them seeing as they go through that whole process and only live as a butterfly for about a day
