I'm trying to find some information on the Chambersburg PA area?
concerning an alleged massacre at a schoolhouse during either the French and Indian War or possibly the Revolutionary War. I recall reading a sniglet about it back around 1976, in a several-page ad put in Reader's Digest by the Pennsylvania Historical Commission (I think), hyping Pennsylvania's role in history.
Any help will be greatly appreciated!

This might be what you're referring to. The Enoch Brown School Massacre happened near Greencastle, Pa. in 1764 during Pontiacs Rebellion.
Chambersburg and Greencastle are both in Franklin County, Pa. and are about 11 miles apart.
