What you had (I am guessing) is called Bell's Palsy and if I remember right, it affects the 7th nerve or rather causes a paralysis to the that nerve which affects the muscles in the face. Ptosis (or drooping of the eyelid) is a common side affect of this. In about 80 percent of people the symptoms completely resolve within a few months. Try and give it a little more time. Botox paralyzes the muscles even more so no, that isn't an option. If it doesn't get better within the next few months, you could see an Occuloplastics specialist or an Ophthalmologist for their suggestions. If the eye gets dry from improper closing, you can use artificial tears to help keep it lubricated. Try to give it just a little more time.

I was diagnosed with a lazy left eye at age 11. They had me do eye exercises to strengthen the eye muscles. I've heard that today video games work because of the eye movement involved.

All I can say is that it worked. I can consciously "relax" my left eye and let it drift off, but it no longer does it on it's own.
